Fannette Island
Fannette Island is the only island in Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada. The uninhabited granite island in Emerald Bay State Park holds the vandalized remains of a tiny 1920s teahouse belonging to heiress Lora Knight, who would occasionally motorboat guests to the island from Vikingsholm Castle, her Scandinavian-style mansion on the bay.
